Volunteering at EWEC 2009

If you are a student with an interest in wind energy and you would like to participate in EWEC 2009 in Marseille, you may want to consider becoming a volunteer!

As a volunteer, you will get a free conference pass worth up to 1,500€, which will enable you to attend some conference sessions and visit the exhibition.

In exchange for this free pass, we (EWEA) will ask you to do some work in return. Some of your tasks might include:

  • checking badges at the conference rooms (this will give you the opportunity to listen to the presentations)
  • managing microphones during the conference session (Q&A)
  • distributing event material
  • being present at the EWEA stand
  • conducting exhibitor/delegate surveys
  • helping participants find their way around the venue
  • packing delegate and exhibitor bags
  • restocking media point material

  • Good spoken EN or/and FR
  • Interest in renewable energy
  • Friendly attitude
  • Team player
  • Registered university student

Please note that EWEA will not be able to cover your travel or accommodation, so you will have to meet these costs yourself.

To apply, please send a short motivation letter and a copy of your student ID to Chantal Gennen: cg(at)ewea.org.
